First Aid Training
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW):
One day HSE approved course ideal for the workplace where there is professional help within reasonable response time.
Emergency First Aid at Work For Forestry and Arboriculture Workers. EFAW+F
This is the same as the EFAW course but with additional training on advanced blood-stopping techniques, use of haemostatic agents and harness suspension trauma. It also discusses Lyme’s disease and Weils disease and risks posed by them.
First Aid at Work
3 Day course for higher risk occupations and areas where professional medical help is less readily available.
First Aid at Work Refresher
2 day refresher for First Aid at Work courses. This must be completed prior to the expiry date of an existing First Aid at Work Course.
Utilities sector First Aid EFAW+F
For those in the forestry or utilities sector we run industry specific courses including the Forestry Commission EFAW+F advanced first aid courses.
Our entire range of first aid training can be delivered at either our own training centre near Glasgow or else we can come to you. Training at your own premises will require attendance by a minimum of 4 people and additional travel and subsistence charges may be applied.
Our First Aid Courses…
Our first aid training is HSE approved and controlled and certificated by LANTRA Awards.
Our trainer is an ex-military instructorwho is very experienced and enthusiastic. Where possible the training is slanted towards the needs of the end user.
Our forestry and abroriculture first aid training meets the revised Forestry Commission (Forest Enterprise) guidelines for first aid training.( FAW+F and EFAW+F )
It is also suitable for all other remote workers or those who work in high risk environments some time away from immediate professional help.
We use and demonstrate not only up to date techniques but also the latest equipment such as Celox, Quick Clot and compression dressings for example.
Our training is about life saving immediate aid for those in dire need - not about neat and tidy bandaging or the correct way to tie an arm sling!
You will learn also to make practical and effective use of normal objects you are likely to have to hand to help sustain the injured and make them comfortable until professional help arrives.
